I Didn't Blink Photography Contest {Week 8}

Today, I am going to start with the winners of last week, because I haven't announced them yet. So last week, the subject was, "My Favorite Thing About December".

It was SO hard to decide, I mean, so hard, that It took me a while. But third place ends up going to.......

Her daughters birthday is in this month, plus Christmas. This has bokeh, a comfortable, yet tired little girl on the couch, making this picture get third.

This photo was not only beautiful, with bokeh. But this is a really hard picture to get. The tinsel bursting in all directions really yells, "DECEMBER!" or "CHRISTMAS!"

The Huchette Crew!

The bright colors, the shiny ornaments, all the way down to the temperature of the picture, made this picture win first place. This is The Huchette Crew's second time winning first place with their pictures.

Now, onto week 8. To sum it up, what this is, it is a weekly photography contest created by me. Where you have a chance to improve in your skills of photography. And you get to share pictures of when you "DIDN'T BLINK" If you are newer here, I would advise you read the rules for further instruction please CLICK HERE.
This weeks subject is.....
decoration
I have been looking everywhere for decorations that are picture worthy. Well this week we went to the dollar store, and my brothers and I bought each other small gifts (obviously whoever was not picking at the moment couldn't look) We took turns wrapping and now their are presents under the tree. Some had to be put in boxes because they were too "odd shaped" to be wrapped. So I picked on and captured it with bokeh in the background.

Even thought it's not technically decoration, I think it looks like it.

I am ready to listen to Christmas songs, aren't you? I am ready for Christmas tree's, lights, and outfits! I absolutely love Christmas. This weeks contest, you probably have guessed, has to do with Christmas.

My Favorite Thing About December

What is your favorite thing about December? The cold weather? Christmas trees, songs, decor? How about family? You chose!

I can't chose a favorite thing, but I really love snow, and lights! This was taken of me, last year with a very bad quality camera (as you can see). But I like it!

So be SUPER creative. I hope you all find this subject interesting.

Sunsets are some things created that have color, texture and beauty. I am amazed at how wonderful a simple sky with colors can be. I think everyone has seen at least one sunset in their life and should agree with me. If you absolutely CAN'T get a picture of a sunset, then I will allow a picture of something that reminds you of one, or a drawing.

Tuesday Link-Ups!

Touch Up Tuesday @ Paper Heart Camera

All I did was add my watermark (to both, I know it's not really SOOC but I didn't want anyone to steal my picture!) and to the edit, I bumped up the contrast. That's it. Just in case you are wondering, these are pictures of our Christmas tree lights! We put up our tree yesterday and this is my first successful "only-bokeh" picture.

I don't know what I like the best about this photo. The sparkling snow we just got? The bokeh? The aperture? What do you think?

The point is to post a picture that represents what your weather has been like. Cold? Sunny? Windy? Even posting a picture of a flower in full bloom, tells me that you're weather has been sunny.

In my picture, above, she is so funny. I love the excitement in her eyes. And what makes her look so much more playful, her hair bows are falling out. And the smile, pulls it all together.

What is I Didn't Blink?

I Didn't Blink is a weekly photography contest that takes place every Sunday. After the subject gets announced on Sunday then the entering lasts until Tuesday until 12:00 (midnight) MTN. Your picture must fit in with the subject that I post on Sunday. For instance, if the subject was flowers, you wouldn't enter a picture of a leaf.

How do I enter?

Every Sunday there will be a post that has the subject, right? Well, at the bottom of that post is a linky. Just add your picture and blog post that your picture is in and you are good to go! You can enter a picture that is taken, or you just took.

Please post your picture on your blog along with one of the buttons above. If you do not include the button I am sorry to say you are disqualified.

You have to be creative with this subject. I don't expect a random picture of your siblings. I want to see a picture that represents them. If they fight alot, then tell them to pose that way. If they like to pretend, then find a picture like that, or tell them to pose. There is possibilities on end that you could do with this subject. Think on it. But Tuesday's the last day to enter!
